Inspired by the autobiographical book RU by KIM THÚY
After a dangerous sea crossing and a harrowing stay in Malaysia, a young Vietnamese girl named Tinh and her family arrive in Quebec where they begin a new life. Thanks to the warm welcome from all, including their sponsor family, Tinh slowly adapts to her new reality. Naturally shy and reserved, Tinh must draw from deep within herself the determination necessary to overcome many challenges, such as learning a new language, discovering a new culture, and adapting to a new life in Quebec.
