Young, feisty video game designer Marianne is a rising star in the highly competitive, male-dominated game designer community. In her early 30s, she is developing her own game in a major Montréal studio where her boyfriend Julien also works.

After participating in a panel where she publicly criticizes trolls of all kinds for spreading hatred on the Internet, she finds herself at the centre of a controversy that ignites the social networks. In the thick of the online fury, she is physically assaulted one night but doesn’t remember what happened the next day. She experienced a mysterious blackout that haunts her like a nightmare, and she vows to get to the bottom of it.
