PRESIDENT AND PRODUCER
After more than twenty years in the industry, André Dupuy is a producer renowned for his vision and integrity. Esteemed by authors for his approach to creative work, he moves seamlessly between the worlds of film and television, both in fiction and documentaries.
Consisting of more than 500 hours of primetime television, his filmography includes many popular and critically acclaimed shows, among which some of the most well-regarded recent television dramas. The series Vertige, Apparences, and Aveux have together won a total of 19 Gémeaux awards. Following his various accolades, La Presse named him their personality of the week in September 2012.
An eclectic career path allowed André to leave his mark in fiction as well as documentaries (Un tueur si proche, Lien fatal, Mort en service), making him one of television's most versatile producers. He also has several feature films to his credit, including La ligne brisée and Piché: entre ciel et terre, which has been awarded the Billet d’or at the Gala des Jutra in 2011.
In 2017, his most recent productions L’Échappée, Feux and Lien Fatal receive a total of 16 nominations for the upcoming « Gémeaux Awards». André’s latest foray into feature films, the coproduction Le Trip à Trois, is set to open in December 2017.
GENERAL DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER
With her significant expertise and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the prestigious HEC in Montreal, Marie-Alexandra joined Amalga in January 2015 as general director and producer.
Well known for her managerial creativity and discipline, Marie-Alexandra has worked in the audiovisual industry for the last 15 years as a content producer, line producer and production manager. Throughout the years she contributed her skills to a multitude of documentaries, both for the Canadian (Canal D, Historia, Z, Canal Vie, CBC, Discovery, History, HGTV, Food Network) and American markets (National Geographic, Spike, HGTV US).
Following her degree in Communication Studies, Joannie Langevin debuted her career in 2010 as production coordinator and secretary on several television projects. Her acumen for content quickly enabled her to move on to producing and in 2011 she joined Jessie Films, where she created and produced Cours toujours for MAtv and TVA Sports. She then developed and produced a dozen of web series for Illico / LibTV and Tou.tv, among which Traitement choc, Anne Ovule and the popular 7$ par jour.
In 2015 Joannie joined Amalga where she oversees the development and production of original multiplatform content.
Joannie is currently finishing a Certificate in Business Law, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration at HEC Montreal.
